ACCESS CHANNELS TO THE RIVER OF VIGO
The presence of the Cíes Islands in the middle of the mouth of the estuary between Cabo Silleiro to the S and the fronton of Cabo Home to the N delimits three channels to access the interior of this estuary.
Canal del Norte: Between the island of Monte Agudo and the pediment of Cabo Home. -Canal del Sur: Between the island of San Martiño and Cabo Silleiro -Freu de la Porta: Between the island of Faro and San Martiño
The N and S channels, wide and deep, are used by commercial traffic and Freu only by shallow vessels.
In the Vigo estuary it is implemented and in force and therefore the entry / exit and traffic regulations are mandatory, according to the traffic separation devices.
The N / S channels that indicate the official courses are recommended for vessels over 20 m in length.
